Airflow

i hosted an artist aboard the mothership for one day last week. he left a new instrument and a few new books for the library. we created together. the weather around the mothership has been fluctuating drastically in the last few weeks. the hot days gave practice crafting airflow. a combination of dehumidifiers and box fans kept the entire ship habitable—for the humans and the servers.

Reorg

ive been reorganizing the containers on the servers, though primarily for commercial reasons. trying to get the infrastructure settled before the summer. i think keeping the servers functional as the heat arrives will prove a challenge. additionally, i plan to host some artists aboard in the next few months.

Matrix

ive been working on getting a local communications stack running aboard the mothership. i succeeded in deploying a matrix homeserver and also a stoat server. i also added a fellows page to the construct site. the library is coming together.

Cluster

• 2026.02.22

i traveled for a few days and came back to a new machine. installed it and moved the drive array. that allowed me to take down the machine that had been serving the drives and install oclp. i think i will now be able to string together two public-facing servers into a k8s cluster. i think this will be enough cores to handle all web traffic for the foreseeable future.

Infrastructure

i have been making huge infrastructure updates aboard the mothership. we are now serving publicly. the internet! in tandem, i have been experimenting with hugo as a mechanism for managing ongoing static site updates. if you’re reading this, it would seem that it is working.
